We send you a take-home coding challenge — a project that emulates the kind of work you'd do day-to-day at Valiant. We encourage AI use here, but you need to own your solution — the ins and outs, the decision points, the architecture.
It's designed to take roughly 4–8 hours, and we give you time. No trick questions, no algorithmic puzzles on a whiteboard. Just real-world code.
If your submission meets our standards, we do a 1-hour pair-programming session with you to review and discuss your work. We're not looking for perfection — we're looking at how you think, architect solutions, and approach problems. We will also confirm your understanding of any of your AI generated work.
